BIO

(b. 1980, Kraków) is a Polish visual artist working primarily in painting, as well as photography and graphic design. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 2005, earning her diploma in the Faculty of Painting under Professor Adam Wsiołkowski. During her studies, she also participated in a scholarship program at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Dijon (2003–2004), which contributed to the development of her artistic perspective.
Between 2006 and 2008, she lived and worked in Stockholm, collaborating with Polish-language publications such as Nowa Gazeta Polska and PL Magazyn. She currently lives and works in Kraków, where she continues to expand her artistic practice. In addition to her work in the visual arts, she designs functional objects and runs a pedigree dog breeding program, Two Hounds.
Her painting practice is grounded in close observation and attentiveness to moments, figures, and relationships that hold personal significance. She is particularly interested in what disrupts the routine of everyday perception—those subtle instances that encourage pause, reflection, and deeper awareness. Through her work, she seeks to highlight places, individuals, and phenomena that resonate on both emotional and sensory levels.
Wróbel-Hultqvist works primarily with acrylic and oil on canvas, focusing on figurative imagery. Her paintings emphasize emotional presence and interpersonal interactions, which she treats not only as narrative elements but also as carriers of intimacy, memory, and shared experience. Her process typically begins with a preliminary sketch, followed by an intuitive application of color. She employs dynamic brushwork and a tactile approach to paint, allowing movement, expression, and chromatic intensity to shape the final composition. In addition to her independent projects, she creates commissioned portraits, aiming to capture the individuality and character of each subject. Whether working on personal or commissioned pieces, her goal is to translate subtle emotional states and human connections into visual form.Wróbel-Hultqvist has presented her work in numerous individual and group exhibitions in Poland and internationally. Her early exhibitions include Love Less or More (2004, Tribeca Coffee,Kraków) and Domowa Atmosfera (2004, Gallery Sheik Yerbouti, Kraków). In 2006, she held solo
